Boeing Starliner

Confirming somewhat that the public affair dimension has outsized the technical aspects:

"Normalization of Deviance" -Diane Vaughan, about STS-51L launch decision.
"By God Thiokol, when do you want me to launch - in April ?"
Glad NASA did not budged.

Unfair. An assumption of failure such as this, at this stage, only tricks the debate.
I think we should have this conversation once Dreamliner has returned (or not).
let us first see how Starliner makes it return or crash into new Mexico.
then we can discuss further...

new issue with Starliner:
It start to make strange sound
View: https://twitter.com/SpaceBasedFox/status/1830180273130242223
If the ship does not rotate, it will get too hot on one side and too cold on the other, generating noises like those of the hull of a submarine when changing depth.

In the Apollo years engineers already knew these things.

The sound of millions of Boeing shareholders, as if they cried out all at once at the future Starliner program writeoffs (losses).

I felt a great disturbance at Boeing, as if billions of shareholders dollars suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly lost.

Somebody at NASAspaceflight found that the sound... sounds like Dark Vador breath. https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=61434.msg2620804#msg2620804

Now I have this vision of Starliner telekinesically strangling the ISS crew, saying "I found your lack of faith in me, disturbing."

Its a sonar ping like noise coming from the speakers
Either some kind of speaker malfunction, or maybe the ISS is tracked by surface radar, and speakers due to some weird accident reacted (my PC speakers tended to produce weird sound if a mobile phone ringed, while nearby)

Hmmm. Two signs Butch might be a cylon

- Starts wearing a gods-dammned eyepatch
- Responds to Mission Control with "Houston, this is Starliner Calypso actual..."

WAITAMINUTE...Battlestarliner Calypso
Tagline: "Fleeing from Boeing engineering, they are a crew on a lonely quest...for a soft landing on a shining planet known as Earth."
