South Korean Hyunmoo-IV-2 cg from weeks ago.So beautiful slim line. love it!The IV-2 is very unique missile. It is only operate in the KVLS-II unlike the IV-1 which is massive weight and operate in land TEL.IV-2 will be the main fist of the Korean Navy to project long range precise penetration strike along with the Hyunmoo-III and Hycore etc.-It has large solid booster unlike any others. and the size is similar to Hyunmoo-IIC but narrow and slim for the best aerodynamic design.-KDDX, JSS(Joint Strike Ship) and KDX-III Batch-II Jeongjo the Great Aegis destroyers will have KVLS-II.-KVLS-II is largest common VLS in the world(Cell length is 9.5m+).

Artillery shells are what the North has in abundance---lots of shells in buried, one shot barrels?

"An eye for an eye", Vlad Pudding. It's just like "Iskanders on Kharkiv, ATACMS on Belgorod."

I wonder what kind of range increase you could expect from that new design. It doesn't look to be as big as trident.
Its highly likely a version of the Hyunmoo-V maybe what he called the Hyunmoo-Vb? It makes the most sense given that they don't need long range and MiRV capabilitys but big amount of penetration and explosive.

Edit: i think the Hyunmoo-V had a range of ~300km

Nope. Its more a big punch guy with an reported warhead weight of 8-10t. Tought it could be done / have an increased range with an smaller and lighter warhead.
Warhead size can be varied.
