One of the silliest blunders, ever, in F1 history: Nigel Mansell (
who else ??!!) Canada 1991.

1:24 in the video - Murray Walker voice is 100% WTF ??!!!! "he's stopping !"
Formula 1 1986-1992 is legendary, if only because of four extraordinary pilots and individuals. Together they got 146 victories and 11 championships.
- Prost, the cold blooded computer
- Senna, the mystic legend
- Piquet, the cynical prankster
- And Nigel Mansell: the jinxed underdog with the wrong character.
Mansell jinx is legendary and reads at time like "Mr Bean goes to Formula One" or "Benny Hill F1 races".
- Mansell tries to push his car under the scorching heat of Dallas, Texas... and faints.
- Mansell win a race, get the winner trophy, and... cuts his hand
- Mansell win a race, goes to the podium... and hits his head violently on a beam
- Mansell plays football before a race and wrecks his ankle
- Mansell goes to the Mexican race, eats at the buffet, and get sick with turista (yet he still raced the next day !)
- Mansell dominates the Canadian GP, only has the last half of the last lap to perform; waves at the crowd... and lose the race
- Mansell miss three races in a row because his kids passed him measles
Plus his squabbles with Senna (they had to be taken appart by mechanics in 1987, plus 1991) with Prost at Ferrari and, even worse: with Piquet at Williams in 86-87. Piquet was a cynical asshole, and Mansell was just a perfect target for the wicked brazilian (who had little affection for Senna, in passing).
