Robert Ménard is the far-right-wing-nut-populist-racist mayor of Béziers, a mid size town in southern France. It happens that Béziers inhabitants are called BITERROIS.

So the sentence I wrote, which sounds like a campaign punchline, exactly means "With Robert Ménard, inhabitants of Béziers !"

Except that BITERROIS sounds very much like "bite est roi" which exactly means
...

...
"DICK(head) is king !"

And thus the sentence becomes "Vote Robert Ménard as your Mayor, and Dickhead is king !"

Alternatively: it is quite appropriate for Robert Ménard, to be the mayor of a town of dickheads (ROTFL).

I can see a populace watching the election night.
