Introduce Yourself

Whats up I'm K, known as "Tanto", long story lol...Was born and raised in the US but pursued my MEng in the UK and now reside in England. Hoping I can contribute my knowledge and also learn something whilst I'm at it! All the best.

Hello everyone I am Flynn from China, 23 years old.
I am interested in warships, especially battleships and cruisers in service during WWI && WWII.
I like to collect information about warship designs, such as plans, concepts, data, etc.
In spare time I write and translate articles in analysing and introducing warship designs.
Looking forward to finding unseen warship designs and evaluating them.

Hello, my name is Howard. I worked in the aerospace industry for nearly 50 years - the last eight as Heritage Manager for BAE Systems at its main archive in Farnborough. I am currently Chair of the Royal Aeronautical Society Aeronautical Heritage Specialist Group, and all this is just an excuse for gathering the information I need to build scale models in retirement. My career involved much foreign travel and the opportunity to visit many air museums, and take thousands of detailed photographs.

Hi Howard - welcome. I visited the BAE Archives at Farnborough in connection with my book on the P.1121 back before I emigrated to New Zealand.

Hello y'all, I'm Julian.

I live in British Columbia, Canada, but I don't worship the Avro Arrow like a lot of my countrymen do.

I'm planning to head into the aerospace industry eventually, but for the next couple years it's strictly a hobby.

In my free time I snowboard and obsessively research various spacecraft/aircraft concepts, and work towards an eventual engineering degree. I'm mostly here to ask questions, and offer my limited knowledge when it's appropriate.

Big fan of RC planes here—probably spent more time flying them than I should admit. ️ Whether it’s building, crashing (oops), or perfecting a smooth landing, I’m all in.

Looking forward to swapping tips, stories, and maybe some repair advice (I might need it).

Hi eveyone, I'm an average mili-otaku with a keen interest (and limited knowledge) in the ongoing arms build up between the East and the West, I'm both fascinated and concerned about these deadly inovations.

Hello people!

My "name" (more of an online pseudonym than anything) is Santiago, though I also go by Ant, as my username shows.

I am a Spanish student, current studying an associate's degree in Web App Design and aiming to study another degree in cybersecurity afterwards. However, I am also a huge nerd for all things military-related since I was very young.

I found out about this forum due to a text-based roleplaying game I've been running with some friends for a few years now (4 years, to be precise) revolving about simulated warfare between nations of the world, as it has become one of my trusted sources of information regarding military hardware, both built and un-built.

With that aside, I hope to have a great time here, and I hope that whatever I may be able to contribute to this forum may be of use to all of you.

Hey guys,

I'm TB, currently an undergraduate aeronautics student. I've been an aviation nerd for as long as I can remember, especially when it comes to obscure and odd projects. If it flies (or tried to), its my jam.

I actually stumbled upon this gem of a forum while doing some research to win an argument with a friend, safe to say, pretty glad I found this place. With that said, I hope to learn more about these interesting projects and just aeronautics in general here and hope I may be of some help contributing to the forums in the future!

TB,

Welcome to all our late arrivals. I hope that this place will be fruitful to you and that you will contribute to keeping it lively.

@ar020 : I can only encourage others to go and enjoy your art as I did!

Hi, everyone,
I am Israeli, 68 years old, aircraft (by education) and automotive engineer, PhD, owner of a small company. Up to 2017, I lived in Moscow, Russia, but when it already became impossible (for normal non-crazy people), I escaped to Israel, then to Ukraine, the Kyiv region. In 2022, I was temporarily in Russian occupation, saw Russian orсs as it was, but was able to escape again. My main scientific and practical interests are UAVs, mainly engines for UAVs: turbojet, ICE, pulsejet, also launcher catapults for UAVs. I have 5 patents on turbojet and ICE, published more than 50 scientific papers and 3 books.
Hope to find here some interesting data for my works. And perhaps my experience will be useful to someone too.

Ciao a tutti,
Could i ask you something?

One of the italian aircraft that puzzled me was the ss4 of Sergio stefannuti..i wonder if vibrations problem and overheath engines problems could had been fixed, and how figure the Speed with a Damlier benz 603/605
Probably, Senior Stefanutti could solve these problems with his aircraft SS4, if he would ask help at Dr. Arthur Berger, designer of this engine series. But unfortunately, Senior Stefanutti installed in his aircraft the Isotta Franchini engine of absolutely another design that DB603. Therefore, it is difficult for me to understand, why to discuss such special questions here? Did you see the name of this topic, where you write it?
