The Forum FAR Maroc has confirmed the receipt of the Bayraktar TB2 drones from Turkey on September 17.

The Royal Moroccan Armed Forces (FAR) executed the transfer of the armaments through its air service. This delivery falls under the agreement between Morocco and Turkey regarding the purchase of 13 Bayraktar TB2.

Morocco’s FAR ordered 13 Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAV) in an agreement with Turkey with a budget of MAD 626 million ($70 million) last April. The Turkish armed drones are known for their medium-altitude and long-endurance (MALE), capable of operating for an extended period of time.

Planning to purchase 4 more Bayraktar TB2 systems (24 units) in the 2021-2022 program, the Ukrainian Armed Forces sent 75 more personnel to Turkey for training. On the other hand, Ukraine continues negotiations with Turkey for the establishment of a training centre in Ukraine.

Suspicion... Turkey's confidential information sold to Israel?

In his article, Orakoglu stated that Turkey has made a breakthrough in the field of defense industry especially over the past 20-25 years and the country has been targeted by technology and commercial spies due to its success in producing unmanned air vehicles.

Touching on a recent investigation conducted by Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the columnist wrote that confidential information about Turkey's national defense projects and contracts have been leaked by a spy cell to the foreign private companies in exchange for bribe money.

He expressed that an amount of €12 million has been seized in the light of legal wiretapping and surveillance, and one of those detained on bribery charge is a family member of the representative of Israel Aerospace Industries and Israel Aircraft Industry in Turkey.

Interesting note, 60 and 81mm mortars has been specifically designed for this type of platform.

MKE MOD 129 - is an 835 gram 60mm mortar made from composite. It has 480 steel balls and 160grams of Comp B explosives.

Meteksan AKSON - Man Portable C-band UAV Data Link - 80km range

AKSON C-Band UAV Data Link that is LOS air-to-air and air-to-ground real time bi-directional communication system, transmits Manned/Unmanned Systems command & control data and receives telemetry & high data rate real-time video data on ground system with highly reliable Electronic Warfare (EW) protection.

Surveillance data of Manned and Unmanned Air Vehicle sensors are compressed in H.264 format and transmitted to the ground control stations in long range by C-Band Data Link. Also UAV remote control data is transmitted from ground control station to UAV flight computer in real-time.

That is enough power to kill sensors pretty damn fast. In a gloves off conflict a few vehicles can pin entire formations without their own DEW, radar AA or "specialized" equipment. The greatly increased ammo capacity makes it potentially revolutionary in that one can not simply absorb the damage from a small force and continue.

One can go through TOE and figure out how few formations today is capable of independent operation against such a threat.

Nape of the earth flight with automated dynamic obstacle recognition and avoidance would seems logical.

Akinci with an AESA radar and several BVR missiles - will it function as a sort of loitering SAM site up in the air?

Suppose it could, it does have a Turkish National Data-Link system as well as Link-16. There is a project to develop flank array AESA radars for Drones, we should see some progress between 2025-2030.

Possible first customer of Akinci UCAV - Qatar

Canadian Telemus Systems, which supplied ELINT and ESM systems to Turkey, went bankrupt and closed down. The suspension of existing export permits and the failure to approve new applications drove the company into bankruptcy.

Development of DIRCM for UCAVs and USV

----------------------------

Defence Turkey: Is it possible to make a smaller version of NAZAR with similar dimensions to MILSAR and equip the UCAV platforms such as AKINCI or AKSUNGUR or Maritime Patrol Aircraft that are in the service of the Turkish Navy?

Özgür CANKARA: Yes, we have such a goal. We believe it might even be small enough to be used on the ULAQ USV. In fact, we have already started some conceptual studies within the scope of the NAZAR Project. With the conclusion of those studies, our target platforms will be shaped accordingly. In this way, perhaps we will be able to provide electronic countermeasure capability to unmanned surface vehicles. And if these unmanned vehicles, USVs, operate in close proximity to our valuable platforms to protect them, the NAZAR System may not even be needed on other manned surface platforms (it can be a surface platform as well as a strategic coastal facility or port/naval base).
