They're going to have to come up with a robust solution to the heating issue if they ever want the DoD to sign on. Can't be in the middle of Dirtopia and have your network go offline.![]()
Musk touts Starlink progress as cost, demand hurdles remain
Don Joyce, a Nokia manager working from home at a remote lake cottage in Canada, recently abandoned his painfully slow phone-line internet in favor of satellite broadband service Starlink, offered by Elon Musk's SpaceX.www.reuters.com
Yeah, 11 seconds to go, that's pretty upsetting...Today’s Transporter 2 launch was scrubbed due to an aircraft entering the keep out area.

Competition is healthy for the industry and customers. Our Nation is better off for having the broader industrial base we now enjoy as a result. I congratulate you on your considerable accomplishments. We are also proud of ours. https://t.co/nqPxe41jLy
Your company said the exact opposite in 2014 when it got a sole-source, uncompeted $11B DoD launch contract. https://t.co/Abd5sWhZDt

In any event, expendable rockets are as relevant to the future as expendable aircraft. Rapidly reusable rockets are all that matter.

I took a look at what's know for the proposed marginal-orbit trajectory for the Starship/Super Heavy test flight. I came up with an OK fit with an orbit that is about 70 x 860 km x 26.4 deg. The relatively high apogee is needed to accomodate a low perigee and the range to HI

Another week of training wrapped up @SpaceX for the @inspiration4x crew. We all got suited up 👍 Lots of academics, simulations & plenty of 💉🩸donations in the interest of science & a variety of medical training too. Back again real soon. pic.twitter.com/xwZD44LSm2

I saw the new cupola for the Inspiration 4 crew, and it's amazing IRL. Closest analog was Collins' standing EVA — “I think nirvana must be at an altitude of 250 miles. This is the best view of the universe that a human has ever had." 5x50 pic.twitter.com/iEmasWrcKB
