It was used for movie poster and VHS cover for British Sci-fi Movie The Final Program in US as The Last Days of Man on EarthHeres one from the "So bad its good" category.
If someone had made a blaxsploitation sf movie back in the early 70s the poster for it might`ve looked like this
Does anyone know where you can buy these underpants?Heres one from the "So bad its good" category.

Interesting choice in futuristic clothing,a posing pouch and a spacesuit helmet, but not much else.
Its sort of like the opposite of Dave Bowmans problem after HAL locked him out of Discovery,he had a spacesuit but no helmet.
This was published way back in 1981,written by Steven E McDonald, who went on to write the novelisations for Event Horizon and Supernova
The cover art is by Lou Feck
That sounds like the old cliche were you add:Does anyone know where you can buy these underpants?
It's true, a friend of my age is getting married and needs all the help I can give him. That sounds like the old cliche were you add:
"Its not for me of course,I`m asking on behalf of a friend..."
The cartoonist seems more interested in male anatomy than in technology. He has tried to represent a very advanced equipment for breathing underwater, but NASA already demonstrated during the tests of the pressurized Mercury suits that the hermetic seal of the neck causes unconsciousness in a few minutes.I'm glad that he is wearing his space helmet at least
