Exquisite artwork, as always, Giuseppe. Thank you.

Re: Forthcoming book: The Projects of Skunk Works: 75th Anniversary

Thanks to my friend flateric, I could correct my X-35B drawing since it was plagued by several errors due to not correct 3 views in my possess, so he provied me the right one and I could correct all the mistakes done.

Here there are X-35B and C, as they would appear in the next Steve's book about Skunk Works.

It's wonderful to have such a perfectionist as yourself onboard, Giuseppe! Thanks so much for your hard work and professionalism on this book project and the earlier X-Bomber/X-Fighter book project. -SP

The pictures keep getting better and better. I cannot wait to get my hands on the finished book.

Now.... If we could get copies signed by the author.... that would be the bomb.

Anyone know if that's possible? ;-)

Does he have a depiction of them with gear down? AA-1 has a different nose gear door design from subsequent aircraft (where lessons learned from AA-1 were applied).

I'm sorry but his AA-1 drawing is gear-up only. -SP

I'm sorry but my drawing policy is to depict always the subject in "clean" aerodynamical configuration, this means that you don't find my drawings with gear down.

Ah, okay. If anyone is trying to model that particular aircraft, it has a single nose gear door instead of the split doors of all subsequent aircraft.

Looking good so far Steve. By the way, I did not know that the YF-12 was known as Kedlock? That is a new designation for me despite having been interested in military aviation since the early 1980s.

Steve Pace said:
Kedlock was the USAF code name for the AF-12-cum-YF-12. -SP

Thanks Steve. It is a pity that the YF-12 never entered service with the USAF.

I was just informed that book will measure 9.25 x 10.875 inches (same size as X-Bombers/X-Fighters), have 256 pages, to be released in December. -SP

Book is now being advertised online at Amazon.com:

http://www.amazon.com/Projects-Skunk-Works-Lockheed-Development/dp/0760350329/ref=sr_1_11?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1460144131&sr=1-11

Mr.Pace, when the book out, can you sell me an autographed copy.

What is odd is that Amazon has the publishing date as December the 1st 2016, I thought the publishing date was supposed to be in 2017.
