What are the odds that the Saber is a modified SCALP design (With France supplying the design)?
Pretty low, many of the engineers who are involved have experience developing cruise missiles.

Denel had MUPSOW, TORGOS, and Raptor programs running and many of the principal and senior engineers at EDGE were involved in them in the 90s and early 2000s.

Go to post #447 on Stand-off Weapons and PGMs on this forum where we discussed this a bit

By no means a small company and with many engineers at high levels with 20 or 30 years of experience

Ok, ... then back to NEWS ONLY, as the title says.
We had lowered this requirement quite a while again, but it obviously doesn't work.

So, as the title implies, please only post NEWS here, without personal comments or opinions.

#galgot: With around 400 posts every day, or more, it's clearly not possible to read all, deleting or
editing a post generally is a result of a report.

It looks like France is considering the deployment of ASMP armed Rafales to Germany, from Defense Updates:

France is reportedly exploring the option of stationing air-launched nuclear weapons in Germany, driven by increasing worries that the United States may not continue to assure European security within NATO. According to a report in the British newspaper The Telegraph, which cites an unnamed French official, “Posting a few French nuclear jet fighters in Germany should not be difficult and would send a strong message” to Russia.
France, with its arsenal of approximately 290 nuclear warheads, is uniquely positioned to extend its nuclear deterrence eastward.
In this video, Defense Updates reports the possible deployment of French nuke-armed fighters in Germany.

From the press in India: Rafale price negotiations are now finalized.

India and France have finalized negotiations for the purchase of 26 Rafale-M fighter aircraft, valued at approximately USD 7.6 billion. The formal agreement is expected to be signed in April 2025 during a visit by the French Defence Minister to India.
[...]

The deal also includes the purchase of advanced missiles such as Meteor and Exocet, along with performance-based logistics support and training programs for crew training.

Rafale F5 future SEAD missile discussion (RJ10):

Perhaps this is the wrong thread but I am surprised MBDA hasn't developed the Meteor as an ARM, at least an an interim option until RJ10 comes along? It certainly has the range and while it has half the warhead of the AGM-88 it would probably be sufficient to meet the intent.

I agree that a variant of the Meteor AAM could eloped with a broadband passive radar seeker for the ARM role without too much effort.

Well, Emirati Rafales will possibly receive the future version of MAR-1 developed by SIATT

SEAD/DEAD is of utmost importance in case of conflict with Iran

Is that an ARM? It's the first time I've heard of this missile.
Yes, it was developed and then abandoned by Mectron which then de facto became SIATT which was then majority acquired by EDGE.

Word I’ve heard is they’ve been given the green light on development on a new ARM based off an updated version of the MAR-1 because of a need from EDGE.

It was also reportedly sold to Pakistan and integrated on JF-17

The missile for some reason reminds me of the BAe ALARM.
I see the resemblance, probably convergent seeing or possibly even something more sinister…

I’ve also heard the possibility MANSUP will receive an anti radiation seeker for air launching.

Likely will fit on the middle hardpoint of the Rafale

I remind you that the title of this topic is Rafale NEWS ONLY...

Macron: “The Air Force will benefit from more Rafale orders. This is imperative in the current context. It is also a natural choice to integrate the effort of the aviators towards Ukraine and the sale of our Mirage [2000]. We will [therefore] increase and accelerate Rafale orders.

They would have to massively expand production lines in order to fulfill their orders‍
