Defense Updates has put out a video about the arrival in Ukraine of their new donated Mirage 2000s:

The Ukrainian Air Force has received its first Dassault Mirage 2000 fighter jet, as confirmed by statements from the defense ministries of France and Ukraine. This marks Ukraine’s second acquisition of a Western-made fighter aircraft, following the arrival of the F-16 last summer. On Twitter, French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu officially announced the arrival of the first Mirage 2000 in Ukraine.
Lecornu noted that French President Emmanuel Macron had announced plans to transfer an undisclosed number of these fighters to Ukraine on June 6, 2022, as reported at the time.He added, “With Ukrainian pilots trained for several months in France on board, they will now be helping to defend the skies over Ukraine”
In this video, Defense Updates analyzes the impact of Ukraine getting French Dassault Mirage 2000 fighters.

Ukrainian M2K were engaged for the first time over Ukraine in the night of the 6th to the 7th of March 2025, helping to defeat the latest Russian massive Missile strike (no detailed tally are provided):
“The Mirages successfully intercepted Russian cruise missiles,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Facebook. He said U.S.-made F-16 jets also were used against the Russian attack.
[...]
Kyiv managed to shoot down 34 missiles and 100 drones, Ukrainian air force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat said in a statement.

@Josh_TN : I think the total weight of the front refueling system is around 70kg as quoted back in the days when this mod was implemented in the fleet.
70kg is not something extra any pilot would like to carry for no reason when dealing with something reputed as agile as a Russian Fighter jet while flying a pure Delta (Mass = AoA = Drag) especially when this mass is far front of the CG.

That's the neat thing with the delta "depth" : even a LWF can pack four missiles under the belly, two in front, two in the rear... leaving the wings free for drop tanks - and even more missiles. 6 x MICA is quite the punch for a LWF.

Is Mirage 2K technically light weight or medium weight?

Of course, but clearly the Mirage-2000 had some advantages over F-16A.

I have a surprise for Dassault,I make a Super Mirage for it,from my creation,
it consider a development of Type-2000,has good features than it,and powered by a single engine, and I call it Mirage-7000.

In Le Fana 2025/04,the Dassault company developed Mirage-2000,with
swept wing (not delta) and box high wing, touch with tip tail fin,but I
think it's not practical,my Idea is the best.

Yes, the model "Dassault Surprise 2000" , a Mirage 2000 fuselage with a rhombohedral wing, featured in the latest issue of the French magazine Le Fana 04/2025, is actually a April's fool joke, done by the design team of the Dassault company during the late 1970's. :p
I presume, Le Fana might post a picture of this model on their website (or on X fka as twitter or on Facebook) next Tuesday on April 1st, 2025.
If so, I will post a link or an appetizer, not here in this topic, but rather in an Aprils fools' Day 2025 topic.;)

Interesting Master’s thesis

Interesting Master’s thesis

Back in the day (the mid- 1990's) Science & Aviation had a special aviation edition with each Le Bourget airshow. I remember reading the Crusader situation was so bad, even a navalized 2000 might be preferable, as an interim type pending the Rafale M. Make no mistake, it was just a vague mention, nothing serious.

Yes indeed, based on the fascinating thesis posted by @F-2 navalizing the Mirage 2000 seems to have been explored quite seriously in the late 80s. It appears feasible from a flight qualities perspective, with a few tweaks to the FCS software, auto throttle etc.

BUT… the landing weight would have been very low (~8,700kg) and the AoA quite high (16 degrees) in order to maintain a reasonable ~135 knot approach speed. Which means limited bring back (maybe 2 AAMs), low fuel reserves, poor visibility over the nose, tailstrike risk etc. The thesis recommended adding canards and vectored thrust (on top of structural strengthening and new landing gear) to increase landing weight to ~9,500kg and reduce the AoA to 12.5 degrees, which is probably too many changes…
