So since Boeing got selected for what is now the F-47 Trumpmeister, the USAF NGAD program was not is such disarray as was the original perception by the USAF. I think this decision was and is based upon China's new rapid development activities and Boeing needs to remain solvent but I'm sure with a lot of caveats from the USAF, don't screw it up. So NG will more than likely get the F/A-XX. If the USG tries for a dual-service, F-4 type scenario then stand-by for a s**t storm, hopefully, USAF NGAD and USN F/A-XX designs meet their unique mission requirements as independent programs.

I sincerely hope that's fake.
I think its just camera perspective. Theres some weird fish eye lens effect going on in that image that makes the radome look tiny, while in the other image the radome is huge.

Cost less than F-22 may be a reference to MOSA and a replace-rather-than-overhaul-and-update strategy.

Not denying that this could have a lower acquisition cost, just saying I don’t think his wording guarantees it.

In comparison with f-22

Why can't it cost less than the F-22? The relevant metric here would be cost of operating. If it is designed with OMS, and has a larger installed based and offers decades of more advancements it could well be easier and more affordable to sustain than F-22's.
Yeah im interested in how they're really defining that. But im skeptical thats F-47 APUC is going to cost less than the F-22's APUC

There is no 'present' F-22 APUC. No one has priced out an F-22 production because you wouldn't be building an F-22 like it is now if you were to..well begining producing F-22's so a simple inflation adjustment is probably not very relevant from the USAF CSAF perspective (alternatives are).

Let's see what happens to the eventual cost of the F-47 when it enters service, it will be interesting to see how many get ordered I really wish that it is anywhere beyond 300 fighters.
