Does anyone know what powerplant the An-77 would have had to meet SR(A)435? The engine most often associated with the An-77/An-7X is the CFM56. Those are obviously large turboprops or propfans but 1993 would seem way too early for either the P&W PW180 or the Europrop.

Hi,

An-158 stretched fuselage version for 99 passengers in a one-class configuration[11][12] and previously referred to as the An-148-200.[13] Other changes include the installation of wingtip fences. The airplane successfully completed its first flight on 28 April 2010, with flight certification tests planned to be completed before the end of 2010;[14] on 3 March 2011, it was given Russian certification.[15]
An-168 business variant, seating between 8 and 40 passengers, with a range up to 7000 km;[16]
An-178 cargo variant, with a payload capacity of 15 tons

Another interesting Antonov design - Antonov An-180 - two propfan D-27 (same placed at An-70) mounted on tail.
First version of An-180 have T-tail, but further engine nacelle pylon was enlarged to stabilizer.

By the way a rather industrial or even political related question: Will there ever be a new Antonov project given the current political situation in Ukraine even if the "Antonov Serial Production Plant" in Kiev (even if Kiev might me not that much affected than other parts) ??

Deino

WOW! :D That is big. :)
Here's the translated article from spanish, Tupolev OOS orbiter and Antonov AKS mothercraft. After seeing this the concept of twin B747 doesn't look so large anymore.

Now here comes the AN-325. I found this picture on the great www.buran.ru site. Informations about ist can be found in the book Крылатый космос by Vadim Lukasheevich in the chapter Самолет-носитель Ан-225 «Мрiя»: мифы и факты. (Airborne-carrier An-225 "Dream": Myths and facts) p. 279-359.

An-325 is new to me, thanks! Judging from the recent series of posts here, I have a feeling there are quite a few An- designations that are missing in my list!

Hi!

Does anybody know if this book is really and already published? I tried to get it anywhere, but no way. And the avicopress site seems to be down or closed. Can anybody help?

Last I heard it was in the works, not released yet. But that was a few months ago. I'll try and find out.

I have the book. It was published in 2000. Aviapress has the book...http://www.aviapress.com/viewallbooks.htm.

YVW. It's pops up on EBAY once in a blue moon. But you never know when that will happen again.
