Here a 3-view of the VEB Apparatebau Lommatzsch Lom-56.Maveric said:VEB Apparatebau Lommatzsch Lo-56, training aircraft.

an aircraft built by a total amateur just for one reason and quite probably for just a
single flight: The escape from the GDR. So it was indeed a "GDR" type, but in quite
a special way ...

Two designs from the institute for aeronautical technology of the technical university Dresden,
lead by professor Landmann:
- A jet trainer for the GDR airforce with straight wing, using a NACA-651/412 airfoil, T-tail and
tandem seating. Predicted max. speed 750 km/h and an endurance of 1.5 to 2 hours.
This type is mentioned as Kaplick "Kerl" (chap), Kaplick probably the name of the chief designer.
- A single-seat glider tug, mentioned as Boenisch "Vogel" (bird) with fixed landing gear and V-tail,
powered by an inline engine and able to tow up to two gliders.
Both aren't from a dedicated aircraft company, so it's unclear, if they really count as "projects".
