I believe it's a period photo because of the 1936 Chevrolet four door sedan in the image. -SPSundog said:It looks like an Avenger in the background. But I had no idea they were still flying A-20's when they began the U-2 program. As it's my understanding there wasn't an airbase at Groom until the U-2 program, at least based on the description of how Tony LeVier found it.
