in a Russian book,I found this model for early Mi-8 concept,it had a low-wing ?,I can't
see well ,what was this ?.

In my files;

there is anther early Mil project,also called V-12,intended for a medium/
light helicopter,in two versions,single and twin engined forms,appeared
late of 1940s.

Judging by the timeframe, I'd say this led to the development of the Mi-4 (the prototype was also known as V-12 in 1951).

Looks like the Russian Mi-8AMTSh (RF-95585 / 212; c/n 8AMTS00643137383U) that went down in Syria today (I'll withhold comment regarding the treatment of the deceased for fear of saying something in the heat of anger) was equipped with the President-S system. Note the gray turret on the lower side of the tail boom.
