That report made for some interesting reading, just skimming through it. I was taking note of the composite layouts, and imagining what it'd be like to repair it.

It's also a good thing to download the report before they change the system for storing these materials online...again.

With some of the broken urls deleting "apps." will get the link to work.

Currently on Ebay from Japan is this 1966 tin toy battery powered working model of the Boeing 2707 in JAL colours made by the firm Daiya.
Similar models were issued for the US market in TWA, American and Pan American and in Europe in Lufthansa colours

And now, for going graphical. These are some of the concepts developed by NASA (Langley) and contractors (Boeing, MDD, Lockheed, Kentron) in the frame of the SCAR/SRC research program, expecially in late '70s-early80's.
Of great interest is the business jet concepts, that was meant as a double-use configuration, i.e. supersonic cruise long range interceptor armed with guided missile. Both NASA/Kentron and Boeing worked on the concept (you'll recognize a well known pre-ATF Boeing concept...) . The Boeing blended depicted here was a further evolved configuration, ended in 1977. It had a 733 series designation, a 750.000 lbs MTOW and was meant for transpacific routes. I have a report on that. Will post detailed drawing and inboard details (new landing gear, too).

Hi dear Skybolt and chornedsnorkack!(Is this OK? What a surprising long name same as Scotte!)
I'm very happy to receive your excellent comments. I can understand what you mean. I used to discuss with Japanese SST engineer(!!), I asked him how do you think of Boeing 2707-300 and Lockheed L2000-7. He answered me that 2707-300 and L2000-7 could succeed technically but failed economically. Of course American SST was more ambitious than Concorde and Tu-144. But once she fly, improvement go forward rapidly as you know. Please imagine improvement from Boeing 707 to Boeing 747.

But where was the space for improvement?

How much was Concorde B supposed to be better than Concorde A?
the concorde type b was supposed to have lengthed wing tips, afterburnless super-sonic speed, more fuel and slats
