US Army Research VTOL Rotary-Wing Composite Aircraft 1965

Hi,


here is a competition for US Army to design a research VTOL rotary-wing composite
aircraft in 1965,and I think the tenders were;Bell D-266,Lockheed CL-945 and Hughes
Model-485,but of course this contest never saw the light.

Pretty sure I just found a few 'reports' for this on USAHEC. All Awfully archived though, the text is all messed up. 'Report' Volume 2 and 3 along with a 'aircraft engineer officers course', couldn't find volume one. If this isn't it, please move to where its appropriate.

Although it says 'reports' and 'volume', most/ parts of these seem to be stitched together correspondences/ sheets plus parts of a presentation and some of these 'volumes' seem like/are duplicates of another volume. These are not the final reports or any substantial studies/ presentations/ reports of the program.

According to these, these designs were apparently considered as 'adequate candidates' for the Army's UTTAS/ utility helicopter among other roles. No mention of Hughes here sadly. Presumably Hughes lost out in 1966.
