Unbuilt projects subforums misused, confusion on where to post

The forum software probably doesnt allow this but a helpful feature for new posters would be if, as they are making a post, they would get a huge pop up message in bold lettering:
Is this post about
...a demonstrator system that may never reach service
...a new, fully funded, system that has yet to reach service
...a system in service
...old system not in use anymore

And force them to pick an option. Leading them to appropriate subsection.

The fact such posts are still happening after this discussion is about par for the course.

The Air Britain AB-IX email information exchange has in recent months taken the step of emailing all members once a month the guidelines for posting topics and questions.
While spamming all the membership of SPF (95% of which are probably sleeping lurker members) is probably overkill, a similar approach (perhaps an annoying pop-up of some kind once a month) might pay some dividends?

I'm going to test out some section changes on the test forum, which is testing out the next version of the forum software. Will post some screenshots once done.
