WHat is the use of the little wedges on the tailplane tips? ... Is that a sign that another "freaking designer" made its way in the serious business of building Helo's?

Thanks a lot for the update, but I must admit I see all these fancy models as nothing but fancy models: Turkey has not a fitting powerplant nor did it design a comparable before. It offended its most reliable source on engines - aka the US as we see just for the T.129 deal with Pakistan - that they won't unlikely get an even more powerful one from there and given their lets say it politely "unique" way of interacting with other possibles suppliers in the EU I think from here they wont get an engine too.

as you know Herr Ruprecht the engine for the Atak 1 is currently in the fine tuning process as you might have seen @PDF with currently 1500hp and hopefully later 1600hp
and in order to not pay for licence fees they will use dynamic systems of the T-625 Gökbey( which you also know from PDF) for the fully turkish version of the Atak 1
3000 hp version, well that's another matter but keep in mind that Bayraktar and Motor Sich made a joint venture company for the twin engined UAV, ok just Al-450 i believe was the model but that's just the begining i hope.
i would like to share a video of the CEO of TEİ( i shared it @PDF) but it's rather long and in turkish
from this video i think we will achieve most of our goals
Rom wurde auch nicht an einem Tag erbaut

ITAR free... The madness has crossed the med... From Paris to Ankara, who would have thought of such symbiosis?

I vividly remember the destruction of one of their AH-1 by a MANPAD shot point blank in mountainous terrain. They are probably in dire acute need.

AH-1 had serious issues that the Turkish Army command relayed to the Defence Ministry, it's missile warning system was subpar to the threats Turkey had encountered. Hence why T-129 replaced AH-1 entirely in south-east of Turkey, and received an additional MWS on the belly of T-129. So, no - Turkey isn't in dire need of an unmanned attack helicopter - Turkey is attempting to innovate with an unmanned attack helicopter with an hybrid propulsion system.

Yes, Ukrainian engine to be used as the domestic 3000shp engine would not be ready by 2023. ATAK-II (T-929) is expected to fly/shown to the public in 2023 the Centenary of the Turkish republic. Also Temel Kotil says, that ATAK-II will be far superior to the latest variant of the AH-64 - rather ambitious claim :)

"Preliminary studies for the 3,000shp TS3000 Turboshaft Engine to be used in the T129B Mk-II/ATAK-II Heavy Class Attack Helicopters started in the second half of 2019. TEI General Manager Faruk AKŞİT also conducted an interview with a TV channel on December 9, 2019 and announced that the work on the TS3000 had begun. The TS3000 Engine, which has been developed by TEI, is expected to also be used in the 10-Ton Class Utility Helicopter Project to be developed by TUSAŞ. The 10-Ton Class Utility Helicopter is expected to have a maximum speed of 170 knots and a cruise range of 1,000 km."

Current developments in what is left of the aerospace industry in the Ukraine may derail this plan though.

More on Turkish police helicopters

Wonder what would proper mission systems for normal police use be. Laser dazzler and microwave anti-human and anti-vehicle weapons seems a fit. Still weird place in the force structure in general.
