Greetings, dear forum Participants!
I'm the author of a Russian-language YouTube channel about combat aviation and have just finished a series on it about single-seat versions of the Su-27. Various materials, both Soviet and foreign, were used to create the video. Today I tried to start translating this series into English in order to share unique information with an English-speaking audience, for which a separate English-language YouTube channel was created. I hope my first release dedicated to the history of the creation of the first prototypes of the Su-27 will be interesting to you. Do not judge me too harshly for my terrible accent, I am working hard to improve it. I will be glad to receive your comments and will try to answer your questions about the history of the creation of this fighter.

Sincerely, Warplanes History.

May be it's worth to mention a main source of information and illustrations for this narrative which is famous two-volume Plunskiy/Zenkin/Antonov/Gordyukov/Bedretdinov book...

Yes, some of the material in this series is based on these sources, some is from other sources including Andrey Fomin (in the following episodes) and Efim Gordon. Some is created independently.

PS. Added sources to the description under the video.
