on 9 august 2022 SpaceX makes 35th launch of this year
for Starling group 4-26
if everything goes well the 169th launch, will be the 144th consecutive successful.
the 111th reflight of a Boosters and 135th boosters landing !
 
Booster 7 is pulled from Launch pad and moved to High bay
unclear why, maybe for additional engine instalment or repairs ?

Even before I saw the below I knew it would be for further engine instals as it was already known it didn’t have a full complement of engines installed.

B7 is getting ready to be removed from the OLM. After yesterdays 21 second static fire, it is now time for more Raptor engines to be installed!

put off NASA with two lawsuits, piss off client ULA.
and made bad shit talk campaign against SpaceX
refuse to launch satellites by SpaceX and goes for Arianespace because New Glenn is not ready...
getting the largest sailing yacht in the world, Y721 for $500 million

what made Musk ?

Wow! SKY Perfect JSAT signed Launch Service Contract for Superbird-9 satellite with SpaceX Starship.
"Superbird-9 is a fully flexible HTS (High Throughput Satellites) mounted the payload missions to be configured and combined to match end-user needs. My point is that it is best for Musk to make the rockets--and for Bezos, the payloads.

Oh, the other carriers are going to be crying in their Cheerios and wailing to their bought politicians about "unfair advantages".
 
Yes. It also means that T-mobile will have quickly a world wide offer. I guess first with roaming and local subsidiaries and then a world wide contract and ultimately a planetary offer.

I imagine the cost reduction achievable... Not only for them but also for their customers.

Aaahh, I can already see the long studying nights, the hair pulling and the agonizing screams heard at several floors of the European Union offices...

"Where is the EASA" is my favorite...;)

I talk here in Germany to acquaintance, who works in customer advisory for bigger competitor of T-Mobile,
he face became quite pale white on news X&T...

Oh we all know THAT will never happen. The carrier will keep those savings for themselves, thank you, and likely RAISE their prices "for the convenience/ added capability".

Note that this can only provide a bare minimum floor level of service. Getting a good data rate to many people over orbital distances requires physically large antennas, and there's nothing anyone can do about that. To provide decent service, T-mobile still needs cell towers. What this technology allows is text messages and maybe low-bitrate calls literally anywhere on the planet where T-mobile has a frequency allocation.

This is less of a death knell to other cell operators, and more of a death knell to Iridium. Their most important customers, the ones who buy expensive service to provide emergency calls but never actually use the service, can soon switch to just normal T-mobile plans.

The limit here is physics, and it's not going to be changed by a can-do attitude and some elbow grease. SpaceX is already cheating Shannon in a major way to make Starlink work, and the only way we know how to do that requires antennas that are physically wide in directions at right angle to the signal. Never gonna fit one of those in a cell phone.
