Saturn V Markings

I'm currently doing some pixel art of the Saturn C-8 for a personal use and I was going to straight up copy the Saturn V markings, but then I wondered, just what are the meanings behind the markings? Has to be for something, otherwise they'd just make it all one color to save money.

They are roll patterns for tracking cameras. They allow for determining the vehicle's roll rate and roll orientation via long range photography.
