A new RUSI report on the F-35 and the UK's use of it:

It does not mention 'Network Enabled Capabilities', which was the MOD approach ten years ago, but advocates much that was in NEC.
Also, it would seem a hard case to make to justify even more money to make the F-35 'value for money'.
