Repairing Chobham armor?

Can Chobham armor be repaired? Some tanks have armor modules that are simply replace when damaged or to be upgraded. But other tanks have the armor built in (Chally & M1). If these get hit, can the damage be repaired or is the entire hull or turret replaced?

AFAIK most forms of composite armour as Choham armour, are limited to flat
panels, so, in the event of a hit just the damaged panel has to be replaced, not
complete structures as the hull or turret.
