Also in my files,

there was a Project for Potez at 1940,called A2-40 and was not related or developed from C1-40
fighter Project,maybe a two-seat observation airplane,does anyone hear about it ?.

"The engine of the 1919 aircraft was also a Potez design, the 41 kW (55 hp) A-4. This was a four-cylinder inline built to run with its crankshaft vertical. It was mounted with its exposed cylinders pointing forwards for cooling and had gearing that turned the output through 90° to drive a two-blade propeller. Although the Potez A-4 was unsuccessful, its configuration produced the high power line and low centre of gravity of later inverted inline engines, allowing a shorter undercarriage, easier access to the cockpits and a better forward view over a shorter, lower nose than its inline contemporaries. The high propeller shaft also allowed a shorter undercarriage; a four-wheeled unit protected the propeller tips from contact with the ground."

"The Potez X was originally designed to provide transportation to the "colonies", it obviously had to be strong and withstand the rough tracks and bad weather.The program responded to a request from STAé that the aircraft was the first three-engine, a configuration that met a need for total power to fly a device with not powerful enough engines and cells lack aerodynamics.
It was almost exclusively metallic except the wing covering. The aircraft was initially equipped with three Hispano-Suiza 8Aa engine of 140 hp (a motor dating from the war) this power allowed the transport of its 10 passengers to 160 km / h, but that seemed insufficient and Potez changed the engine to realize the Potez Xa which was in fact the same device re-engined with three engines Hispano-Suiza type 8 Ab of 180 hp.
Then later the engines were replaced by HS 8Bec of 280 hp, then HS 8Fb of 300 hp which gave it’s speed of 200 km / h, but the apparatus was abandoned without further developments.
The Potez X was introduced at the 1921 show where it attracted attention, passenger aircraft were, at the time, in their infancy.
It had been designed to have easy operation and maintenance, with proven engines, the cab which had a length of 5 meters and an average width of 1.30 m, provided for 12 passengers was at the front between the engine and the cockpit located at the rear, but not carinated, the pilot being in the open air.
The aircraft was modified several times in particular by changes of engines but it was still quickly abandoned. "

here is the Potez 41 was a large high-wing flying boat project,powered
by four engined,mounted each two engines in tandem above pylons,the
Potez 41 M was actually built as BN.5 five seat night bomber aircraft.
