Poland to buy almost 100 Apaches

Unsurprising decision really. I suspect the current unpleasantness in Eastern Europe may be driving a political decision on the numbers. As it will likely be a multi-year contract, the political realities may become different, warranting an economic reconsideration.

Poland has signed Letter of Offer & Acceptance and Foreign Military Sale

But do they have the supporting assets in term of air mobility?

More interestingly, it is noteworthy that the military with the closest outlook on the evolutions of tactics in the Ukrainian conflict is committing so much with a weapon system that has seen so much scrutiny, at least over the internet battlefields.
Probably something to look at for all. ;)

Poland is not messing around as far as weapons procurements go - just look at how many Tanks and SPGs they have ordered. The number of Apaqches does align with those land forces increases.

They know if Russia kicks off - they will be one of the first to get it - so they are preparing.

Perhaps it's because of the nature of the Ukrainian battlefield and especially from poor use by Russian forces, I think we need to be careful about learning lessons from that conflict too quickly. Their main failure in Ukraine is lack of long range munitions (for the Ukrainians) and improper employment by the Russians, and a lack of ISTAR on both sides. These are not things which should be an issue for NATO, in theory at least.
