Piaggio Model Designations

P-146 single seat jet fighter project, resemble Lockheed P-80

From Interavia 1954,

may the P.146 was re-allocated to a luxury version of P.145 twin
engined transport project ?.

Or, more likely the designation allocation went the other way around.

As Nico listed them, the P.145 transport design came first ... before being reallocated to a T-33 class trainer. So, it would make sense that the P.146 was first a luxury transport variant before that designation was reallocated to a P-80 class fighter.

BTW, in entry #1, the P.145 transport project is still listed as being "four-engined". Has it been determined for certain whether the P.145 (and luxury derivatives) were twins or 4-engined?
