Photo library software

My aerospace photos collected from internet is growing beyond my ability to keep it organized.

I've tried different software solutions but since most of it are dedicated to photographers, I miss some specifical possibilities. For instance: a text field for descriptions, pdf reports with thumbnails and descriptions...

Can anybody address me the perfect app to my needs?

I use ACDSee Classic in concert with windows explorer. ACDSee allows for a description field associated to the filename. Though very dated, it has given me a good result so far, helping me manage my 110672 files, worth some 160Gb.

The same for me, especially since I learned, that the descript.ion files of older ACDSee version
can be imported into the newer versions.
One "bug" remains, of course : All descriptions (in my case they are giving the original source)
have to be created at least once ! Well, it's just a matter of discipline, I know ...
