Pictured: Viper Strike, a standalone version of the Brilliant Anti Tank (BAT) "smart" submunition for ATACMS. While BAT was cancelled for its poor test record, the Army used Viper Strike in combat with Iraqi insurgents in 2007.

I'm kind of confused on the wings, how exactly were they supposed to fold into the round shape? There doesn't appear to be any room for the wings in the cylinder, but all the artwork shows bat as a cylinder in its pre launch configuration.
Yet another Cold War anti massed armour weapon, the ATACMS launched Brilliant Anti Tank (BAT), as demonstrated in this brief video. Cold War concepts back in fashion! pic.twitter.com/VmWwohKh2C

Two proposals in Infrared Terminally Guided Submunition (IRTGSM) - competition that was a predecessor BAT program
General Dynamics model has airframe very similar today's Northrop Grumman Hatchet (formerly ATK), actually nice R&D heritage
I wonder what enticed the change from an IR seeker to an acoustic seeker. Possible a cost reducing solution?View: https://x.com/thinkdefence/status/1841403028571594756Yet another Cold War anti massed armour weapon, the ATACMS launched Brilliant Anti Tank (BAT), as demonstrated in this brief video.
