So they are claiming a NASP model was built in 1975? Something doesn't compute there.

The seller has been clueless for a long time, I just wanted to know if the model itself looked legitimate or worthwhile.

Considering the dimensions it seems more like a scale model rather than a full scale mock-up, indeed it remains stunning....

SSTO is already hard, scramjet SSTO the Tony Dupont way, is a fraud (his numbers were way out in the blue) and on top of that, they added a B-1 like escape pod. Whew.

It would be intersting to compare such figure with the 150 foot lenght stated for the late Rockwell X-30 NASP.

Umhh... Unlikely, since all the artistic renderings represented a quite bigger vehicle with Two crew in nose section.

The earliest proposal was for a single seater proof of concept/test bird, IIRC. There were concerns though that it wouldn't be large enough to hold a worthwhile fuel load, I believe.

HALO (High Altitude Launching Option ) was a Lockheed concept circa 1990 for a single-seat proof of concept X-30 configured demonstrator that would have been air launched from the back of an SR-71.
