I've seen a few claims from not exactly ironclad sources that the Soviet government destroyed some Myasishchev spaceplane design(s) and research. I'd like to know if this really happened, and if we know the scope and summary of what was lost if it did.

Though the early Myasishchev spaceplane designs were paper only and limited in scope, they are considered "secret projects", the uncertainty of the alleged actions of the state are what makes the topic suitable fore this forum imo
