Could even be a pattern for a dramatic picture, flying low over the French soil
(maybe with a smoke trail from one engine), shortly before it crashed on it's
way to Cherbourg ! :-\

I have one question what was the estimated speed

Evidence for a DB 021-powered Me 262, while it does exist, is extremely scant. I don't know of a full project report on the Me 262 with 2 x DB 021. It's not quite the same thing but Focke-Wulf, in Baubeschreibung Nr. 281 Einmotoriges Jagdflugzeug mit PTL-Geraet 021, projected a speed of 905km/h at 8km altitude for a fighter equipped with 1 x DB 021.
Presumably Messerschmitt's figures for the Me 262 with 2 x DB 021 would be somewhere in the same ballpark. 905km/h = 562mph. With 2 x Jumo 004 B-1, the speed was supposed to be 900km/h (560mph).

Did it have better acceleration?

Ian,
I wrote a book for you. Since there apparently is no project report available, the answer to your question is SWAG. Even if we had the report, there is a good chance acceleration probably would not have been projected data on that parameter, as I do not remember seeing such data in other project reports. Having flown a few first and second generation jets back in the 50s, my opinion is the turbo prop would probably have had better acceleration. As an example. one jet I flew was so marginal on go-around acceleration, that if the bolter decision was not made as the wings rolled level on final, you were going to land. Most, but not all the time I would have had the option of a touch and go.
