Also from L'Aerophile 1926,a more data about MB.27 seaplane transport aircraft.
Hi Hesham: this description is not the Besson MB.27! They call it "Type Transport". Where did you find any relationship with MB.27? I think it is a MB.26 projected version.
See attached a plan of the MB.27. As you can see, it is a single engine land plane, category A2, not a 3-engin seaplane.

Hi Philippe,

that's so weird, what about TU magazine, issue 146,which mentioned,

BESSON MB-27:
A hull biplane with a 400 hp Lorraine engine, the MB-27 type was presented at
the Grand Prix des Hydravions de Transport in Saint-Raphaël from August 20 to September 4, 1925. However, it could not pass the qualifying tests and therefore
did not participate in the competition.
The editor of this section has no other details on this machine.

I don't know A.2 was called MB-27,is that your speculation ?.

No. As you know, I prefer avoiding speculation. I shown the plan above from original Besson documentation. Main characteristics:

Besson type 27 (1923)
Category A2
Engine: one 370 hp Lorraine 12Da
Wingspan 16 m
Length 11,50 m
Hight 2,85 m
Total weight 2250 kg
Max speed 212 km/h

I also have other plans like it. I attach the front view of MB.27 with its main characteristics, as well as few other examples of plans from the same origin.

And TU magazine displayed both of them, and described the MB-27 as
a transport seaplane ?!.

I checked why I have the reference MB.26 project, while Charles Claveau called it MB.24 in TU magazine (cf. message #4).
This is the same plane: its manufacturing started as MB.24 for 1924 competition. It was not selected, but the same fuselage was used for HB.2 with wings relocated in high position. It was then recalled MB.26.

It seems to be confused. This Besson prototype presented to competition in 1925 is not clearly identified. In his personal notes, Jean Liron suggests that it could have been the MB.28 (not the MB.27). Another speculation.
