So i was cruising around in SP and i found this link : http://rense.com/general57/f19.htm, the first thing i saw was of course the nice sketch of the rumored F-19 so i decided to try something with it in Photoshop.

This is the first time i do something of this kind (2D) so its not an experienced work here, of course i'd like to read your opinions

Now this is intresting! i have contacted Gert Albert Lindqvist the developper of an RCS prediction software named Cadrcs http://www.cadrcs.com/en/start.html and offered my F-24 model for display on his site in return of running some analysis of it, appareantly he had plenty enough models on his site but he accepted to give it a run.

Today he sent me result files for an analysis at 0degree elevation and 10GHz frequency (Xband) for the moment i dont know how to exactly interprate the results but here are some polar plots need some help here.
for example at front view 0degree, i have 77.7sqm for sum of rangegates and 0.33sqm for direct rcs only.

More results just reached me, 45degrees elevation this time the rcs seems to have decreased.

0.33 square meters sounds in the range of the Gripen or Su-47.

One thing about RCS plots that has confused me is the relative asymmetry often present in them, given that most aircraft are fairly symmetrical in plan form. Would this be due to vents, guns, doors or other surfaces that might be distributed asymmetrically? Or is it an artifact of the software?

So in the stealth department its not invisible, but let not forget 0.33sqm rcs without wave absorbing paint and other little details on the intake, trailing edge and so on.

but i was thinking about a diamond wing minifighter with proned pilot and air intake hidden behind the cockpit launched from a transport and landing by parachute or parasite, the size in itself would make it stealthy and when adding up more features it could be stealthier than a raptor. It would be used in silent precision target missions.

I'd say it's safe to never assume that your own design is stealthier than an F-22, especially if you don't have professional experience in that field (I certainly don't).

Having an inlet hidden behind the cockpit is asking for trouble in terms of engine performance.

Well i guess if you take a Raptor scale it down it would certainly be stealthier, now im not saying it will be stealthier i said it could be and this to challenge myself at attempting it.

This was a model lost on my harddrive for a while, i recovered it and thought i'd do something with it, it is a bird-shaped artifact made of wood, discovered during the 1898 excavation of the Pa-di-Imen tomb in Saqqara, Egypt. It has been dated to approximately 200 BCE, and is now housed in the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo.
According to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGVWcF4fssI excerpt from a History channel show showing aerodynamical and flight sims tests conducted at the Liverpool university, it really could of have flown over the pyramids taking advantage of hot ascending air to gain altitude.

I already told you how much I love it... If ever it was conceived as a flying toy for rich kids at the time, I'm sure it would have been decorated in typical Egyptian fashion, to look like the bird-god Horus with eye-lining and stuff. But perhaps it was also carved by a bored pyramid worker during his lunch break!

Here's the first sketch of the new stealthy minifighter project (sorry for the bad quality) ,you can can clearly see some of the major features that will be present in it, it has a blended diamond wing, the pilot is proned and under a jet engine with an intake hidden by the cockpit, it would be launched from an aerial carrier and land by parachute vertically or semi vertically on retractable telescopic feet.
Other features will be discussed as the project progresses.

In the 1946 the Golovin IVS world smallest fighter was put into production, its simple engineering and small size made possible the production of huge numbers, the plane was compatible with Katyusha missile launcher which has been modified so now it has only two guide rails and side outriggers. it carries store of fuel, start boosters and ammunition for 4-5 flights, replacement parachutes, a compressor or reserve of high pressure gas, and a device for IVS setting onto the guide rails.
In an unusualy russian nice day, a training mission was decided and the launch began.
The title is an excrept from the russian song "Katyusha"

It's very good, but I have a real problem with the aircraft being so sharp given its speed... especially considering how blurry the truck is below it. Doesn't make it very realistic, and fails to convey an impression of speed. I would make the truck sharp and add a movement filter to the aircraft if I were you...

I was told that, and yes it is true the aircraft is what have to be motion blurred and everything else is steady but i didn't like to loose aircraft details with the blur, and as it is a render you can focus on everything you want. But definitely it is something to avoid in the future i must assume.

I agree with Stephane about the blurring, it will look better with a sharp truck and slightly blurred aircraft, but it is a wonderfully authentic-feeling in-action view of an unflown project. The startled birds above the trees are a nice touch.

Hi all, so lately i've been dead... artwork speaking some of you may know im still young and have to pass an important exam this year so i'd be dedicated to it, artwork left behind for some time. Anyway my last project was the Beeplane in collaboration with the company that's developing it which is a first for me.
the Linux of aeronautics the Beeplane™ project by Technoplane french company http://www.bee-plane.fr/, its an open source project which has permitted me to be a part of it in a way that i make illustrations.
The Beeplane™ is a detachable fuselage medium range transport, and composed of two parts the main fuselage or basket and the Bee or the technical structure. The concept would help save purchase and operational coasts and the fuel consumption.
Here's a render of the Bee from front view in its second version with side air intakes.

aircraft. Just one point of criticism, not too serious The iron cross clearly indicates the use by the
airforce of the FRG, not the former German airforce. Why not, could be the first indigenous design
after the end of WW II, a great story of success, although, with hinsight, only pursued by the officials
in order to save sparse foreign currency (foreign financial suport may be less in this alternative history).
But I haven't seen a post-war German airforce aircraft with such weathered insignia !

For the over weathered iron cross on one hand i do not or not yet put as much attention on exactitude of markings as much as on the image look as for the weathering, it is essential for the wanted aircraft personnality vilain and powerful on the other hand i admit my lack of knowledge in this area.
