Funny Fictional Aircraft (the old "Humorous aircraft never meant to fly..")

A few screen shots from the Cartier video T. A. Gardner linked to, I just wish it had been uploaded at a higher resolution.

Later: As I've posted later in the thread I managed to find a higher resolution version of the video. The attached screenshots, including an extra shot of that Daliesque elephant are below.

I also think that the pilot was meant to be taken as Santos-Dumont himself, rather an odd memorial to one of the lesser known pioneers of aviation. But that may be due to the fact that Cartiere released a set of watches named after the man in 2012.

As to the plane it may not have been the 14-Bis but rather one of the Oiseau de Proie (eng : Bird of Prey) derivatives that succeeded it.
If you go back and watch the video carefully, the pilot is wearing a Cartier watch, and the time piece shows up again as a clock on a building later in the video.

My guess is that the video started life as a Cartier advert, I wonder if there are any others from that campaign floating around on YouTube?

I found the original advert the music video was created from. It was apparently made to show on airlines entertainment systems and dated from 2016. It's also in a higher resolution than the other video. That is linked below.

A screenshot from another advert in the same campaign entitled 'Cartier: Shape Your Time' has been attached.

Later:I've posted highter resolution shots from the video in Post# 120.

Humph. Missing Engine Gray ANA-513/FS-595 16081. Wait a tick. There it is.
They are still missing the FS numbers.

Whot? So. How is the chart funny?

Well, sorta on topic. Maybe the general aerospace humour thread is safe to unlock?

Well, I'd say "Artist" should be labeled "House painter," or "Sales guy at the Big Orange Box." Artists do stuff like Cyan, and Burnt Umber and the like...

Someone's missed an opportunity to hire these out for children's parties. Bouncy castle? Pah!
