Now new, as a new thread, I'll start with three concepts made by Ivan Makhonine,
a born russian, later naturalized frenchmen.
Makhonine is well known for his VG designs with telescopic wings, Mak-10 and Mak-123,
but about this VTOL concepts (from VSTOL.org) I've found nothing. Surely, concepts "9"
and "10" are just schematic drawings ...

The prop at the tail looks to me like begging for trouble.

(But this thing has potential as a high-tech lawn-mower!) :D

One thing I'd love to see here would be more info on the various French efforts, besides those of Breguet, to utilize the BS.53 (Pegasus) or BS.100 for vstol fighters.

There is the Dassault MD-610 Cavalier using a BE-53.

I don't know any other French plane using the Pegasus.

Here's the Bertin ADAV design , no designation given by Cuny.

For the Nord designs, wait for hte July Le Fana issue ... ;)
Just as a clue (and because it's hopefully not used there)
and old drawing, please don't laugh ! :-\

This was a stopable rotor design, which here still looks really "heli-like". Later drawings showed
a more "fighter like" type :

Welcome Bruno,
will look regularly to your site and try my understanding of the french language.
A quick look through the thread, you've send the link of, showed some things,
that might be interesting for others here, too, for example the Convair model 49 !
Good start ! ;)

Aircraft recognition 101: If it's strange, it's French. If it's ugly, it's British. If it's strange and ugly, it's Russian.

Regards & all,

The C-450 Coléoptère is probably where they got the idea for the Phoenix in the movie Titan AE.

The C-450 Coléoptère is one of iconic Aircraft of 1960s

Yes, the one with tandem, and the other with side-by-side seating.

Not a techical person, no idea about the full name of the design, no longer French, not able to spell Coleopter in full but a search led to here as the best option. Tumblr renames everything in its own style.
