I spy ... MISE! And now it's installed on @EuropaClipper! Here's the Mapping Imaging Spectrometer for Europa in @NASAJPL High Bay 1, just before its installation onto the spacecraft. All Europa instruments are now delivered, except the radar antennas (coming soon!). #PI_Daily

was put through its paces & passed!

Technicians are making sure the spacecraft can withstand the extreme conditions of space and be ready to research Jupiter’s moon. Next up, Europa Clipper will be shipped to KSC for launch processing.

Interesting news Flyaway, I wonder if NASA would be able to detect life with the ice penetrating radar. Or would that be for an other future mission?
 
No idea if a radar could penetrate an ice crust 20 km thick ? makes our Antarctica looks like an ice cube in a glass of whisky...

Europa Clipper is shipping to Florida later this month:

It's official: Europa Clipper's vault plate has been installed onto the spacecraft before it heads to @NASAKennedy later this month.

Can you see that microchip on the vault plate? That's YOU!

 
That is going quicker than I had thought Flyaway, NASA must be extremely happy witht the process that has been made thus far with Europa Clipper.
 
Trying not to get too excited for Europa Clipper's launch Flyaway, old habbits die hard I suppose.
 
It’s using the same shipping container as Psyche did, and flying in a C-17 Globemaster III.
 
Good to hear that Europa Clipper using the same shipping container as Phyche did and getting transported in a C-17, obviously NASA was happy about the transportation of Psyche.
 
I forget that it is going to be a long flight to Jupiter for Europa Clipper Flyaway, six long years before it arrives at Jupiter.
