I think we've got our suspects:

"'The EC-37 ... frankly operates as much like an EA-37,' Air Force Gen. Mark Kelly, head of Air Combat Command (ACC), said during an online event hosted by the Air & Space Forces Association back in March.
Air Force Col. Josh Koslov, head of the Air Force's 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing, also referred to the aircraft offhandedly as an 'EA-37' during a media roundtable on the sidelines of the Air & Space Forces Association's main annual conference back in September."
 

Air Force to add 5 new Compass Call electronic-attack planes in 2025

The Air Force is planning to receive five EA-37B Compass Call electronic-warfare aircraft in 2025 as it moves forward with plans to retire its predecessor.

I would certainly think so if the Pentagon frees up enough money or it even gets more money from the White House,
 
That would be an extremely smart move by Gulfstream to market the Compas Call electronic attack aircraft to export customers, something that did not happen to the Lockheed EC-130 when it was in service.

I don't think Gulfstream gets much out of the sale, basically provides a green G550. I suspect corporate jet sales are much more lucrative for them; like Porsche, the money is the options list!
 
Is it Gulfstream which prohibits the arming of its' business-jets when they're modified for military use?
 
My thoughts too NMaude, I wonder if it just the USAF that buys the jets from Gulfstream and then modifies them for military purposes? I have always wondered about that as well.
