DoD Temporary Designations for Soviet / Chinese Aircraft based on airfield

Hello all!
When I started researching CREST online in mid-January, I wasn't aware of existance of this forum. In about a week (on January, 24) I came across the NPIC interim designators and started collecting them in a Google Spreadsheet. By February 4, when I found this thread while googling one of designators, the list already consisted of 32 designators which were overwhelmingly duplicating the list published here. Thus I registered on this forum, created a copy of the spreadsheet (so it is available online for editing) and ceased work in this direction.
Unfortunately it took more than two weeks for the forum administration to activate my registration so I partially forgot what I wanted to write here but I promise to follow up with more thoughts on the topic soon.

Most likely, tested in 1975, only one photo published to my knowledge.

First, "Chuck" doesn't resemble a location in the USSR (a transliteration would rather be "Chuk"). Second, that vessel is classified as a watercraft, not as an aircraft (note the NTP assignment is X and not W).
P.S.
It's curious that "Chech" does look like a beginning of a Russian location, and with OverPass service for OpenStreetMap I even found out that Checheul village is located close to a large Kansk Airbase in Siberia. However, it's classified as watercraft, which makes scenario of its observation in Siberia more or less unlikely.
P.P.S.
As this document shows, NFIB WSSIC classified and designated ground effect vehicles as naval surface platforms (and not aircraft) at least since 1985, I assume NPIC should have followed this practice.

Can't help wondering it Chuck, particularly if it would be better as Chuk, might not just mean the Chukchii/Chukota Peninsula or the Chukchii Sea. It's the kind of place you might take a logistics oriented ekranoplan to test. And if you catch it at some god-forsaken outpost with no known name....

Hi all

LUK = Lukhovitsy (Tretyakovo airfield near Lukhovitsy)

Lukhovitsy is the airfield belonging to the LMZ factory.

The Lukhovitsy Aircraft Production and Test Complex is a high-capacity facility provided with up-to-date equipment which manufactured the IL-28 tactical bombers and the MiG-23 / MiG-27 family fighter/strike aircraft. Later the Complex was responsible for production of MiG-29 fighters.
