When I saw the film, I was disappointed the submarine didn’t have the windows in the bow, looking like an older version of the Seaview.

I seem to remember a different poster with an aquatic T-Rex to the right…this poster shows a mini-sub

There were a number of poster designs with a submerged T. rex ... a peculiar choice since the film also featured a mosasaur!

Derek Meddings often stated he would look through books and magazines to get ideas for the various vehicles seen in the Gerry Anderson shows. On the defunct Eagle Transporter Forum, forum members discussed that the Matra R130 could have been the inspiration for Thunderbird 1.

Yes, the good old Lightning. Known for its speed and power in the 1960s. TB1 had the same wing planform, as well as the landing gear in the wings.

Recently released documentary on UFO with some surviving cast and crew. Sadly, since this was made, some of them have passed. Funny fact: actress Wanda Veltham is actor Benedict Cumberbatch’s mom.
