The latest issue of the AAHS Journal (Spring 2013) reports that David W. Menard passed away on 5 February 2013 after a short illness.
I believe David had a large collection of US air force aircraft photos and has published various books on US military aircraft. He was for some years, the librarian at the USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio. I had the pleasure to meet him there in 1995.
