Unbuilt Beechcraft QCGAT demonstrator. The Quiet Clean General Aviation Turbofan (QCGAT) was an engine program that was extensively tested in 1978-80 under NASA supervision. Avco Lycoming and Garrett both submitted their own designs for it, but the program didn't go past ground tests.
