Pardon me, any sub related thread is going to get my attention.

if BAE get this true, it will change way to drive subs !
because today crew staring at dull instruments
The old 640-class SSBNs had a 3rd person TV display of the boat that the Ship Control Party watched.

The Ohios went back to "boring" instruments because the 3rd person display was found to reduce attention paid to it (and probably caused nasty screen burn back in the days of CRTs).

IIRC, The full details of the Mutual Defence Agreement have never been publicly disclosed. For all we know, the UK could use the US facilities at Kitsap (Pacific) or Kings (Atlantic) to upload nuclear warheads.
They certainly use Kings Bay to load the missiles proper, so it stands to reason that there is UK warhead storage there as well. Remember, UK Tridents have unique warheads, they don't use the US warheads.
