BAE has agreed a deal to purchase the aerospace division of Ball Packaging for $5.5bn (£4.4bn) the company is a major player in the civilian and military satellite sensors and instruments with an annual turnover around $2bn, they also make the communication antenna for the F-35 and cameras for missiles. Ball are the largest manufacturer in the world of aluminium cans and were selling the division to reduce their debt pile.
