The BN109 is a 1-2-tonne two/three-seat helicopter in the Hughes 300/Robinson R22 class. Intended to cost less than $500,000, the BN109 could be powered by a car engine. MBB and Nurtanio plan to conduct a market feasibility study this year. If the project goes ahead, Nurtanio would largely be responsible for production, while MBB would exploit the remotely piloted vehicle applications of the small helicopter.
