One possibility is a light training helicopter to be developed in co-operation with MBB's Indonesian licensee Nurtanio. The BN109 is a 1-2-tonne two/three-seat helicopter in the Hughes 300/Robinson R22 class. Intended to cost less than $500,000, the BN109 could be powered by a car engine. MBB and Nurtanio plan to conduct a market feasibility study this year. If the project goes ahead, Nurtanio would largely be responsible for production, while MBB would exploit the remotely piloted vehicle applications of the small helicopter.

Yes, that is the Bolkow P.110.01. Powered by a single 6,800lb Orpheus 12, 3.32m wingspan and 4.09m length, 3,923kg weight. Other engine configurations were studied.

No, I've never seen a different drawing of the 110.01, nor any of the other two proposed layouts.

AST300, otherwise known as the Airbus Special Transport. Late 1980s proposal by MBB for tanker conversions of the A300B4 airliner for the Luftwaffe and other air forces.

"Family portrait" of the Bo 106 ( foreground ) and 105. The wider fuselage ( 6.9ft vs 5.2ft ) of the 106 reduced cruising speed by about 4kts.

Unclear why it wasn't brought to market. Initially it had the same MTOW as the 105C but plans were in place to increase weight and power, per second attachment.

Model of Bo 70 standing on a section of MBB's Heidelberg rotor blade proposed for the type. Blade manufactured by Siebel.

Tail rotor for directional control rather than counter-torque.
