Aubert PA-400

Just found in Flieger, 2/1953 : Described as a design by "Paul Albert", I'm quite
sure, that it was by Paul AUbert, as an aircraft designated PA-204 is mentioned
(the Cigale). A relatively strange design with a foldable tail for loading/unloading,
that strictly remained a paper plane. Some more informations would be welcome,
still yet that's the only source I've found.

Looks very similar to the pre-war Alcor aircraft Corp. Alcor C.6.1

Indeed ! I'm not sure, but the PA-400 could have had staggered
props. Was this a feature of the Alcor , too ?

No, they were in the same plane/alignment though slightly toed out - see the attached drawings. A friend built and flew an R/C scale model in the FAI Worlds a number of years back and the model was in the window of a local hobby shop for a few years after it was retired from the competition circuit. A quite beautiful aircraft really. More info on it at:

Yes, it's evident in the drawing, thank you. I was thinking of
an installation as in the Wagner/Piper Twin Cub or Twin Tri-Pacer,
but toeing-out and relatively small props would do hte trick, too.
In the description it is mentioned, that this type of engine installation
was already seen in the "Vega", without a clue which Vega is meant. ???
