Very good drawings!

In Scheina's 'Naval History', this following text indicates the interest of Argentina in Italian Battleships in 1901.

"The Argentines responded in May 1901 with an inquiry, possibly a full order, to Ansaldo for a new 15,000-long-ton (15,000 t) battleship design. This would mount a 305 mm (12 in) main battery and be capable of steaming at 20 knots (23 mph; 37 km/h)."

No other information about this design but it is probably the same Maipu Class, COLDOWN posted before.

Yes. After the peace treaties with Chile, the constructions of these two battleships were canceled. The parts manufactured so far, including guns, were used in the construction of the Regina Margherita class or in the Regina Elena (I don't remember well, excuse me).

Ohhh, where can i find Scheina´s books in digital format (pdf)???

Seems to be out of print and not available as an e-book. Used copies don't appear to be very expensive.

Not even the russian farposst site have them as it seems

Many thanks indeed for this work !
I especially like all those Lord Nelson spin-offs, ranging from what looks like pimped Majestics (with the funnels
side-by-side), to the last one, already reminding to the Dreadnought with its raised focsle. But it seems, a version with the
main armament standardised to, say 8 x 2 10" wasn't proposed, with the saved weight invested in more hp or better
armour ? Still looks like a lost opportunity to me.

Well these are my ideas as Friedman states very little if any about their layout, the single calibre 10" you thought and which was also a Lord Nelson preliminary (Design F) was not proposed, but the closest to it was Design 192.

Next is 249 a companion to 248 and thus a revised version of Design 230:

Tzoli, I admire your work but I must make a couple of observations:
DESIGNS 758/758A: Were not offered to Argentina but to Chile. Page 109, BCTWWA, NF.
DESIGN 249 was 21k, not 19,5. "Design 249 was similar but slightly larger (17,600 tons), with more power (20,000 IHP) to ensure that she could make the desired 21 knots" Page 831, TBB, NF.
Although I admit that Friedman is my only source and you may have other information available.
Regards

I've fixed those, sometimes when copy pasting text I forgot to update a few lines :)
As for Design 758/758A:
758 was offered to Chile indeed but 758A was not clear as Friedman imminently states cruisers for Argentina after that design.

Unfortunately Friedman has a very bad way of writing when the contents are for the filling or do not care much. It is not the only book that generates these doubts.
Regarding the belonging of designs to certain nations, it is important to note that Friedman tries to express a sentence for the separation of designs from Chile and Argentina: "Vickers also offered cruiser to Argentina´s rival Chile" (sic, no comma), but as we see, this is for the interpretation of the readers.

Yes he does and having the extra info on the back of he book requires you unnecessary paging to there and then find where you were left of!

But now the first Dreadnought based design (I assume)
Proposal 265:

Proposal 265:

Dimensions: 155,45 (pp) x 24,54 x 7,47m
Displacement: 19.000tons (standard)
Armour: unknown probably 38-42mm Deck, 254mm Belt

24x1 4,7"/50 (120mm/50) Vickers Mk A Guns,
4x1 457mm Underwater Torpedo Tubes
Why the 12" and 10" guns? It must have made rangefinding and distinguishing the fall of shot rather difficult.

Because it was offered by Vickers and second at that time the transition to single calibre warships was not that common in all navies, and 10" could fire quicker then the 12", pounding the enemy while the 12" are reloading. Such reasoning was returned in 1911 when Armstrong offered a 4x2 16" 3x2 9,45" armed battleship to Brazil on 30.500tons!

Next is as suspected a modification of the previous proposal, Design 266, 5,5m shorter, 4x less 120mm guns and 1inch less belt armour

Tzoli, I would like to ask you to prioritize the following:
_ Vickers 292 (1907).
_ Vickers 293 (1907).
_ Vickers 354 (1907).
_ Vickers 362 (1907).
_ Vickers 426 (1908).
- Armstrong 610 Variant III (1909).
_ Vickers 1124 (194 "8", same as 1124A with british equipment).
_ Vickers 1124A (194 "9").

If you can and you want, your diagrams will serve me to expose my proposal of Argentine technological tree for world of warships and would allow you to spread your works strongly in the Latinamerican community.
I hope so, Greetings

I will draw them when I get there.
As for 1124 and 1124A Friedman does not state any info on 1124 except it was developed from 1123 (Swiftsure class) while 1124A described as a Stock Cruiser not offered particularly to anybody but used as a basis.

I'm mostly somewhat partially known. I prefer naval forums to Wargaming forums where they all speak about what level this and that ship would fit in and not on the actual design itself.

Next is 282, the first in a series of pair-designs where even numbered ones were 12x 12" armed while uneven ones were 8x 12", 8x 10"
