The question is, was this hop an unexpected "maiden flight" during a high-speed taxi test or was this indeed the first flight?

We can see Selçuk Bayraktar pulling the aircraft up, don't think this was unexpected nor wanted to really fly it, Baykar shared this test as: "Low altitude take off and landing test"

Is there any information on how long it takes to manufacture a TB2? Is it weeks? Months? Years? Even assuming that you have all the components to hand like engine, avionics, actuators etc. I would have thought itts still a non-trivial amount of time to make the airframe, assemble and test.
 
What I amazed most is with the fact that it's very heavy (or the airfoil is too thin for the flight profile).

Turks should be proud this thing was put together in such an apparent short time.
