TL;DR : Darpa has succesfully developped a pilot AI capable of flying full scale f16 in simulated dogfighting engagements and it has succesfully beat an experienced f16 dogfighter in a simulator dogfight.

Thoughts: dogfighting is all but dead. Maybe drones will fly in close to make this matter more than it does matter for 5th and 6th gen.
